It is the goal of the Alternative Community Resource Program to meet the complete needs of the child in a comprehensive approach. When a child develops he has basic needs including emotional, health, mental, social and the need to develop through play. In each of its 32 programs ACRP addresses the needs of children and carries them into, and sometimes through, adulthood.

The largest library in the Blair and Bedford County area. For over 90 years, the Altoona Area Public Library has been serving our community.

The Amelia M. Sharer Foundation was created to carry on the memory of Amelia Sharer, following her brief battle and death from pediatric cancer. Nonprofit dedicated to helping uninsured children with EMS transportation - in honor of Amelia, who lost her battle with MRT in March 2019

The American Rescue Workers (ARW) is a church that operates a Christian nonprofit ministry that services low-income families in its community.
Our food pantry location is 811 Scotch Valley Road in Hollidaysburg.

Facilitate positive in-person interactions between children and first responders to overcome fears and create a positive relationship.

This church offers many fun activities, and resources to the community. They even have a tomb on their property.

The Alliance is a global movement of Jesus-followers who seek to carry the Hope of the Gospel to every corner of the world.

It began with one man breaking from the status quo to reach the lost and marginalized people of New York City with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It grew into an alliance of Christians seeking to make the gospel accessible those who need it most.

Today, more than 2,000 Alliance churches serve their communities across the United States while supporting international workers who minister worldwide to the least reached through planting churches, training national leaders, and providing assistance for relief, development, medical care and microenterprises.

A vibrant organization, the Chamber’s diverse membership offers a cadre of talented and dedicated individuals who have a wealth of experience and knowledge. The Chamber is comprised of every kind of organization imaginable, from world renowned manufacturing companies to family owned bed & breakfasts. Nearly 600 members of the Chamber share a common goal to promote growth and prosperity for the entire Bedford County community.

BCFB is the administrative umbrella for the six Bedford County Pantries and will answer any questions about the Bedford County Pantries.

A non-profit, donation run homeless outreach in the Altoona area. They deliver hot meals and necessities directly to the homeless.

The Blair County Genealogical Society was organized in 1979 exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. Its purpose is to compile, study and exchange information of a genealogical and historical nature and to preserve, perpetuate and publish the genealogical and historical heritage of the Blair County area for the benefit of its members, schools, and the general public.

We purpose to encourage and inspire children, and teens to lead useful, Christ centered lives by helping them mature physically, spiritually, mentally, and socially.

To fulfill our mission we assist the evangelism and discipleship ministries of Pennsylvania evangelical churches and other non-profit religious organizations, especially the Charis Churches (Grace Brethren) that own the camp, by providing a year-round Christ honoring camp and retreat center facility.

After 2 years of hauling brush for a tree company, Bryan decided to start ChipDrop to make it easier for gardeners to get wood chips from arborists.

As a gardener, you previously had to call every tree company in your city if you wanted a free pile of wood chips delivered to your home. As an arborist, you either had to pay to empty your truck at the dump, or drive long distances to find a free dump spot.

Now with ChipDrop, arborists in the field can quickly look at a map on their phone to find dump spots for their chips. By filling out a simple form, gardeners can add their home to the same map, which all the tree companies in their city can see.

ChipDrop takes advantage of technology to help people in the real world doing real work.

Elias “Eli” Garrett was a loving 3-year-old boy who lost his courageous and long battle with Non-Hodgkin’s T-Cell Lymphoma on May 7th 2009, just 10 days before his fourth birthday.

In his memory, “Easter for Eli” collects Easter baskets to be delivered to children who are hospitalized over the Easter Holiday.

A Christian-based nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing by building affordable homes for low-income families in Bedford County. Sometimes they also sell discounted construction materials.

A small group of Christian warriors, doing the work of Jesus in the community. They meet weekly, to pray and support eachother, and help anyone that may stumble through their door.

Our goal is to help families achieve living incomes, which will allow them to feed their families daily; educate all their children; and have proper housing, water, hygiene and other essential resources.

Ministry that helps people in the Name of Jesus. This non-profit offers many services and connects people to a wide network of outreaches.

Our vision is to make wheel chairs, walkers, hospital beds and other medical equipment available free to those in need. The equipment you recieve from us is free to keep with no strings attached. If at some point in the future it is no longer needed, we will also be glad to take it back to be passed on to another in need. We also take donations of medical equipment in good working order.
John's Way is named after John Scott Baird, a member of our church who was born with a rare genetic disorder which made walking or speaking impossible but did not prevent him from having a meaningful life. His presence with us for 19 years was a blessing to all who knew him. This was John's Way. John passed to the Lord on May 5, 2004.

Logan’s Love, Inc. is a 5013c non-profit organization started in memory of Logan Helene Renshaw to inspire positive change by focusing on the development of children, building strong communities, and improving the environment.

Founded by Logan’s parents, Helen and Al Renshaw, and son Cayden, Logan’s Love provides volunteering, charitable giving, acts of kindness, and youth development programs to make a difference in the world.

William Herschel Johnson (named after his great-grandpops) was born on Sunday, August 1, 2021 and in the 23 days he was with us, he changed our hearts and our lives forever. On Friday, August 20, we met with Liam’s team of doctors and received his diagnosis of Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy. We learned that he would not recover and our days were limited. We may never understand why this happened to us, but we do know that we are stronger because of this, that each day is a gift, and that we have a new sense of purpose – to help the incredible staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

As well as the countless community resources all of these libraries offer, this library is situated next to a beautiful park for the whole family.

Naomi's Nursey Blessing is a children's pantry that provides FREE items to any child in need. We provide anything from diapers, wipes, formula, furniture, strollers, clothing and more! Our goal is make sure every child has his/her needs to thrive.

This program is 100% funded by churches, businesses, individuals, and community groups. We do not take government money because that would suppress the use of the Bible and the Holy Spirit in the recovery process. This program is 100% Christian and 100% Biblically based, and our purpose is to offer real life solutions to real people who have real life problems.

Your Safe Haven, Inc. is Bedford County’s crime victim center. Your Safe Haven, Inc. is dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing counseling, helping to file a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA) and accompaniment through the court system. Your Safe Haven, Inc. partners with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners to provide immediate response at the hospital. They provide similar services to victims of other serious crimes. Your Safe Haven, Inc. has a staff attorney and is able to make referrals and eligible persons may receive legal services at no cost. Your Safe Haven, Inc. works with county schools and agencies to aid in the prevention of violence and educate children about pertinent issues.
